INTERNSHIP/VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

The Council has a deep appreciation for the valuable work performed by interns and volunteers. They are welcome to help for limited or extended periods of time. Among the possible roles for internships at the Council are:

-  Activities
-  Assistance at Distinguished Speaker Programs

-  Cable television network expansion and management

-  Videotape Library: dissemination enhancement

-  Background Research for the Distinguished Speaker Programs

-  Membership and Audience Development

-  College and University liaison project

-  Administration

-  Secretarial Assistance

-  Montage Creation - The photographic history of the Council

-  Office Computerization enhancements

-  Data entry

-  Support Activities

-  Publicity

-  Fund-raising and grant proposal assistance

 


A formal, recognized internship must last at least one hundred and twenty (120) hours. Internships for academic credit may be arranged in accordance with college rules. Internships are unpaid, but transportation expenses will be reimbursed. Flexible hours at the Council are available within normal hours: M-F 9:00am to 5:00pm
