Ukrainian General Staff: 820 Russian troops killed in 24 hours

Glory to Ukraine! The five hundred and thirty-second day of large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation against our state continues.

During the day, the enemy launched 2 rocket and 28 air strikes, fired 35 MLRS systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of the russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population, residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed.

The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

During the day, 22 combat clashes took place.

On the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 30 settlements, in particular, Khrinivka, Huta-Studenetska, Buchki, Gremyach of the Chernihiv region; Novovasylivka, Baranivka, Atynske, Stepne, Volodymyrivka in the Sumy region and Uda, Sosnivka, Graniv, Staritsa, Vovchansk and Nesterne in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, our defenders repelled attacks by russian troops in the area north of Sinkivka and north-east of Ivanivka, Kharkiv region. More than 10 settlements, including Figolivka, Zapadne, Petropavlivka, Podoli, and Berestov in the Kharkiv region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Bilogorivka, Luhansk region, and Spirny and Vesely, Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevske, Bilogorivka of the Luhansk region and Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region were hit by enemy artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers are firmly holding the defense, repulsed enemy attacks on the outskirts of Klishchiivka and northeast of Druzhba, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike in the Klishchiivka area. More than 10 settlements, including Malynivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Predtechine and Diliivka of the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, under heavy fire from the enemy’s aircraft and artillery, our defenders repelled attacks by russian troops in the Avdiivka area and southeast of Severny, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Avdiivka area of the Donetsk region. Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

In the Marinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Marinka area of the Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Krasnohorivka region of the Donetsk region. Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Paraskoviivka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

On the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the lost position in the Staromayorske district of the Donetsk region. The adversary carried out airstrikes in the Blagodatne, Staromayorske districts of the Donetsk region. Vugledar, Odradne, Velika Novosilka, Blagodatne, Staromayorske of the Donetsk region were subjected to artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area south of Novodanilivka, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 15 settlements, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Gulyaipole, Novoandriivka, Pyatikhatky, Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region, and Nikopol of the Dnipropetrovsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

On the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Odradokamyanka, Lviv, and Komyshan of the Kherson region. More than 20 settlements, including Zolota Balka, Respublikanets, Odradokamyanka, Novotyaginka, Antonivka, and Veletenske of the Kherson region, the city of Kherson, were hit by enemy artillery fire. Kutsurub, Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, are entrenched at the reached boundaries, and carry out counter-battery countermeasures.

Over the past day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces has struck 10 airstrikes on areas where personnel, weapons, and military equipment are concentrated, one on an anti-aircraft missile complex, and one more on the enemy’s logistics hub.

During the day, units of missile forces and artillery hit 3 control points, 5 artillery pieces in firing positions, an area for the concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, a radio-electronic warfare station and another important enemy object.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
