Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and fifty-second day of large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation against our state continues.

The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, he does not give up his plans for the full occupation of Ukraine. The adversary continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, strikes, and attacks both military and civilian targets.

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

During the day, 56 combat clashes took place.

The enemy launched 3 rocket and 39 air strikes, fired 27 MLRS strikes at the positions of our troops and populated areas. The russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine, using 14 UAVs of the “Shahed-136/131” type, 12 enemy drones were destroyed. As a result of the russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

On the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of the russian federation, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. About 25 settlements, including Klyusy, Mikhalchyna Sloboda of Chernihiv region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks; Fotovizh, Vovkivka, Volfine, Yastrubyne, Basivka, Mogrytsia of the Sumy region; Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Liptsi, Staritsa, Okhrimivka of the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks in the Sinkivka area of the Kharkiv region. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Petropavlivka area of the Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestov in the Kharkiv region, came under the artillery and mortar fire of the russian invaders.

In the Lyman direction, the defense forces repelled all attacks by the enemy, who tried to dislodge our units from the occupied lines in the area of Terna, Donetsk region. In addition, the enemy carried out an airstrike in the Serebryansk forestry area of Luhansk region. About 15 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar attacks, among them Nevske, Belogorivka of Luhansk region and Torske, Serebryanka, Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 19 enemy attacks in the Bohdanivka, Ivanovsky, Klishchiivka and Andriivka districts of the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Markove, Bogdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and New York of the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 15 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Tonenko, and Pervomaiskyi of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops. More than 10 settlements, including Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Karlivka, and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Marinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out 5 attacks on the positions of our defenders. Under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers: Gostre, Georgiivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region.

The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Shakhtarske direction. About 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vugledar, Staromayorske, Urozhane, and Zelene Pole of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the defense forces repelled 6 enemy attacks, in the areas west of Verbovoy and Robotyny of the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy also carried out an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Kopany, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Levadne, Malynyvka, Verkhnya Tersa, Charivne, Novoandriivka, and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region, were hit by artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kherson direction, such settlements as Shlyakhove, Vesele, Mykolaivka, Tyaginka, the city of Kherson and Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region were hit by enemy artillery fire.

The defense forces of Ukraine will continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro river in the Kherson region. They continue to inflict fire damage on the positions of the russian occupiers.

During the day, the aviation of the defense forces made 5 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
