Ukrainian General Staff: 55 combat clashes with Russian forces in 24 hours

Glory to Ukraine! Six hundred seventy-seventh era of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, launches missiles and air strikes, carries out shelling from jet fire systems not only on military, but also on numerous civilian objects of our country.

During the past day, there were 55 combat clashes. In total, the enemy carried out 13 missiles and 127 air strikes, carried out 181 shelling from volcano fire jet systems on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential and apartment buildings, other civilian and industrial infrastructure have been destroyed and damaged.

Last day, Russian occupiers repeatedly attacked Ukraine, using 96 bpla type “Shahed-136/131”. 66 striking bpla destroyed by forces and means of air defense.

Also, the current day zagarbniki again made an aviacíjnogo strike, applying 26 striking bpla type “shahed-136/131”. Our defenders destroyed 21 enemy drones.

Aviation strikes were experienced: Ivanivka of Kharkiv region; Silver Forestry of Luhansk region; Grigorivka, Riznikivka, Zvanivka, Spirne, Northern, Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region; Robotine, Novodanilivka of Zaporizhia region; Kachkarivka, Red Lighthouse, Zmiyivka, Virivka of Kherson region.

About 150 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “North” in the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Khortytsia” in the Kupians Вkomu direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks of the enemy near Synkivka and Petropavlivka of the Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops.

In the Limans моkomu direction occupants led storm actions in the area of makíííívki luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 10 attacks of the enemy near Bogdanivka and Andriyivka of Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Tavria” in the Avdiyiv direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the enemy who does not abandon attempts to surround Avdiyivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense, causing the occupiers significant losses. Yes, the Defense Forces over the past day repelled 4 attacks of the enemy in the areas of Stepovoye, Avdiyivka and 14 more attacks near Pervomaysky, Nevelsky Donetsk region.

In the Marinsky direction, our defenders continue to restrain captives in the area of Novomykhailivki Donetsk region, where 4 attacks have been repelled.

In the Shakhtars стіkomu direction the Defense Forces repelled the attack of the enemy near the Urožajnogo Donetsk region.

In the Zaporozhye direction Ukrainian soldiers repelled 5 enemy attacks near robotinogo and southern novodarívki of zaporozhye region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Odessa” in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to expand the platform. Despite the significant losses, the enemy does not give up its attempts to knock our units out of their occupied positions. Thus, over the past day, the enemy carried out 13 unsuccessful assault operations on the Defense Forces position.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausted the enemy along the entire front lines.

During the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force has struck 11 areas of concentration of enemy personnel.

Missile troop units hit 9 focus areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 3 ammunition warehouses and an enemy control point.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
