Ukrainian Geneal Staff:  some 910 Russian troops killed or wounded in the past 24 hours; 24 tanks and APC’s destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! Seventy-hundred and sixteenth era of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, launches missile and aviation strikes, launches fire with reactive systems not only on military, but also on numerous civilian objects of our state.

During the past day, there were 65 battles. In total, the enemy carried out 13 missiles and 66 air strikes, carried out 96 shelling from volcano fire jet systems on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, there are unfortunately dead and injured among the civilian population, including children. High-rise and private buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure, have been destroyed and damaged.

Aerial strikes of Russian occupiers suffered: Staritsa, Ivanivka, Kislivka Kharkiv region; Bilogorivka Luhansk region; Konstantinivka, Alexandropil, Avdiyivka, Kurakhove, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Staromayorske, Rivnopil Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Nuts of Zaporizhia region; Kachkarivka, Red Lighthouse of Kherson region.

More than 110 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the operational strategic grouping of troops “North” in the Volyn and Polish directions, the operational environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the operative and strategic grouping of troops “Khortytsia” in the Kupiansky direction, Ukrainian soldiers fought off 5 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kharkiv region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops.

In the Limans Доkomu direction Ukrainian soldiers repelled 4 attacks of the enemy near Terniv Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled 4 attacks of the enemy near Ivanivsky and Klishchievka Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the operative and strategic grouping of troops “Tavriya” in the Avdiyiv direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the enemy who does not abandon attempts to surround Avdiyivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense, causing zagarbnikam significant losses. Yes, the Defense Forces over the past day repelled 19 attacks of the enemy in the area of Avdiyivka and 7 more attacks near Pervomaisky, Nevelsky Donetsk region.

In the Marinsky direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to restrain the enemy near Georgíivka, Pobeda and Novomyhajlivka of Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repelled.

In the šakhtars дійkomu direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.

In the Zaporizhia direction of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled the attack of the occupiers west of Palm Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops “Odessa” in the Kherson direction despite significant losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to knock our units out of occupied positions. During the past day, the enemy has carried out two unsuccessful assaulting positions of Ukrainian troops here.

At the same time, our soldiers are actively inflicting losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausted the enemy along the entire front line.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces aviation has carried out strikes in seven areas focused on enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment.

Missile troop units struck two ammunition warehouses, two artillery and the enemy logistics hub.

Estimated losses of the enemy last day in total were: 910 Russian occupiers, 2 tanks, 22 combat armored cars, 24 artillery systems, a jet system of volcano fire, 18 bpla operational-tactical level, 1 winged rocket, 38 cars and 4 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
