Ukrainian General Staff: about 950 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 56 tanks or APC’s destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! Last seven hundred twenty second era of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our state.

Operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains complex.

During the day, 51 combat encounters took place. In total, the enemy carried out 30 rockets and 56 air strikes, carried out 70 shelling from the volcano fire jet systems on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are wounded and killed among the civilian population. Demolition and damage has been suffered by high-rise and private buildings, educational institutions, as well as critical infrastructure objects.

In the Volyn and Polisky directions, the operating environment without significant changes. The sign of the formation of offensive groups has not been detected. The designated units of the armed forces of Belarus perform tasks in the border areas with Ukraine.

In the Sivers тівkomu and Slobozhans корkomu directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversíjno-intelligence activities, carries out shelling of settlements from the territory of Russia, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Ohrímívka, Nesterne, Budarki, Chorne, Kolodyazne of Kharkiv region. About 20 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar shelling of the enemy, among them Velika Pysarivka, Volodymyrivka, Oleksandrivka of Sumy region; Kudiivka, Krasne, Staritsa, Vovchansk, Ohrimivka of Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansky direction, our defenders repelled an attack in the area of Ivanivka settlement of Kharkiv region, where the enemy also carried out an air strike. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kotlyarivka, Brestove Kharkiv region.

In the Limansky direction, our soldiers repelled 5 attacks near Terniv, Yampolivka and Veselogo Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Novolyubivka, Bilogorivka Luhansk region and Terni, Novosadove Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were affected by artillery and mortar shelling, among them Bilogorivka Luhansk region, Terny, Yampolivka, Torsk Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces were repelled 9 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bogdanivka, Ivanivka, Klishchiyivka, Andriyivka of Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to improve the tactical position. Also, the enemy carried out an air strike near New York Donetsk region. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire, including Orykhovo-Vasilivka, Bogdanivka, Ivanivskiy Donetsk region.

In the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders repelled 14 attacks in the area of Avdiyivka and 1 more attack near the Pervomaysky Donetsk region, where the enemy, with air support, continues attempts to capture Avdiyivka. Also the occupiers carried out air strikes in the areas of settlements of Novoselivka the First, Ocheretyne, Berdyči, Orlivka, Lastočkine Donetsk region. Artillery and mortar shelling occurred to 20 settlements, among them Alexandropil, Novokalinove, Berdychi, Lastochkine, Northern Donetsk region.

In the Marinsky direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy near Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Pobeda and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region. Here foreigners, supported by aviation, 17 times tried to break through the defenses of our troops. Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviyivka were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, our defenders repelled 3 attacks of the enemy south of Prechistivka and near Staromayorsk Donetsk region. The opponent suffered air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Vodiyane, Shevchenko, Staromayorsk Donetsk region and Novodarivka of Zaporizhia region. Artillery and mortar shelling occurred about 10 settlements, including Purchistivka, Zolota Niva, Urozhaine, Staromayorskke Donetsk region.

In the zaporozhye direction the enemy of aggressive (storm) actions did not lead. Fired with artillery and mortars over 20 settlements, including Malinivka, Chervone, Bilogirya, Robotine, Kamianske Zaporizhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Odessa”, in the Kherson direction, the enemy does not refuse the intention to knock out our units from placdarmív on the left bank of the Dnieper. Yes within a day 1 attempt to storm our troops positions was made. Artillery and mortar shelling were hit by Kherson, Engineering, Giant of Kherson region and Očakív region.

During the day, the Defense Forces aviation struck 12 areas of concentration of enemy personnel.

Rocket Troops units attacked 2 personnel focus areas, 1 artillery, 1 ammunition warehouse, 1 enemy radio station.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
