Ukrainian General Staff: about 1,080 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 64 tanks or APC’s destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! The seven hundred twenty-five era of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

During the past day, there have been 82 combat clashes. In total, the enemy carried out 13 missiles and 104 air strikes, carried out 169 shelling from the volcano fire jet systems on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are wounded and killed among the civilian population. Demolition and damage were suffered by multi-storey and private buildings, as well as critical infrastructure objects.

At night, the Russian invaders repeatedly attacked Ukraine, using 14 bpla type “shahed-136/131”. Air defense destroyed 12 enemy drones.

Aviation strikes suffered: Stognia, Chorne, Sadovod, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, Moscovka, Zagrizove Kharkiv region; Makiyivka, Serebryanske forestry, Bilogorivka Luhansk region; Novosadove, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Semenivka, Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Tonenke, Terni, Ivanivsk, Orlivka, Novomyhajlivka, Vugledar, Staromayorsk Donetsk region; Robotine, Novodarivka Zaporizhia region saty.

More than 100 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “North” in the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the northern and slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the osuv “Khortytsia” in the kupâns зоkomu direction the enemy of offensive actions did not lead.

In the Limansky direction, our soldiers repelled 12 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Terni, Yampolivka, Torsk Donetsk region and Bilogorivka Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction of the Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks of the enemy near Ivanivsky, Klishchieivka, Andriyivka Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Tavriya” in the avdííí̈vs Вkomu direction Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 attacks of occupants near lastočkinogo Donetsk region.

In the Marian direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Georgiyivka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region, where foreigners tried 23 times to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the Novopavlívs ніkomu direction, our defenders repelled 2 attacks of the enemy south of Prechistivka and west of Staromayorsk Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhia direction, the enemy 13 times unsuccessfully tried to attack the positions of our troops western Willow and Robotinogo Zaporizhya region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Odessa” in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to maintain positions and repel attacks of the occupation troops. Despite the significant losses, the enemy does not give up its attempts to knock our units out of their occupied positions. Yes, within the past day the enemy has carried out 2 unsuccessful attacks.

At the same time, our soldiers are actively inflicting losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausted the enemy along the entire front line.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces has struck 14 areas of focus and 3 enemy anti-aircraft missile complexes. Also, this morning, the Air Force in the east direction shot down a Russian rapist-bomber Su-34.

The units of the missile troop struck 1 area of focus, 2 control points, 4 artillery, 4 ammunition warehouses and 1 enemy radio-electronic combat station.

The estimated losses of the enemy last day were: 1080 occupants, 11 tanks, 53 armored combat vehicles, 40 artillery systems, 3 anti-aircraft vehicles, 3 airplanes, 36 operational-tactical-level BpLA, 2 wing rockets, 2 vehicles and 7 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
