Ukrainian General Staff: about 950 Russian troops killed or wounded over 24 hours; 39 tanks or APC’s destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! Seventy-hundred and eighty-eight era of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

Over the past day, there were 115 combat clashes.

In total, the enemy carried out 15 missiles and 63 air strikes, carried out 109 shelling from volcano fire jet systems on the positions of our troops and settlements.

During the past day, the settlements of Kozacha Lopan, Synkivka, Slobozhanske, Neskučne, Victory of Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka of Luhansk region; Novosadove, Yampolivka, Chasiv Yar, Alexandropil, Novooleksandrivka, Solovyove, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, New York, Krasnogorivka, Ocheretyne, Vodyaane, Shakhtarske, Novomyhajlivka, Urožayne, Staromayorske, Velika Novosilka, Spi Rne, Stupočki, Ivanivs ;ke and Andriyivka Donetsk region; Small Tokmačka, Robotine Zaporizhia region; Novoberislav, Lviv and Krinki Kherson region.

More than 120 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border.

In the Kupiansky direction, the enemy, supported by aviation, 2 times attacked the positions of our defenders in the area of the settlement of Stelmakhivka Luhansk region.

In the Limans Наkomu direction, the opponent 10 times attacked the positions of our defenders in the areas of terni donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers fought 28 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka Luhansk region; Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Klishchiyivka, Ivanivskke, New Donetsk region.

In the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders fought 32 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Semenivka, Novokalinove, Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka, Nevelske and Alexandropil of Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Georgiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane and Urozhayne of Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried 25 times to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the Orykhiv direction, the enemy, supported by aviation, attacked 4 times the positions of our defenders in the area of Staromayorsky Donetsk region and Robotiny Zaporizhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not refuse the intention to knock out our units from placdarmív on the left bank of the Dnieper. Yes, over the past day the occupiers carried out 3 unsuccessful attacks on our troops positions.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire line of battle.

During the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine has struck 8 areas of concentration of enemy personnel.

Missile troop units have affected 1 control point, 2 personnel focus areas, 1 ammunition warehouse, 1 air defense device, 1 enemy weapons and military equipment concentration area.

Last day, the total losses of Russian zagarbnikív amounted to 950 people. The enemy also lost 16 tanks, 23 combat armored cars, 41 artillery systems, 4 anti-aircraft vehicles, 38 Bpla operational-tactical level, 6 missiles, 68 cars and 8 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
