Ukrainian General Staff: About 860 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 27 tanks or APC’s destroyed or disabled; one warplane downed

Glory to Ukraine! The eight hundred-second era of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, there were 95 battles.

In total, the enemy carried out 5 missiles and 69 aviation strikes, carried out

74 shelling from the reactive systems of volcano fire on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Destruction and damage were suffered by private and apartment buildings, objects of civil infrastructure.

At night, Russian occupiers again attacked Ukraine, applying 24 bpla type “shahed”. By the forces and means of air defense of Ukraine 23 striking bpla was destroyed.

During the past day, the settlements of Red Khutir of Chernihiv region suffered from air strikes; Meadow of Sumy region; Kharkiv, Slobozhanske, Vesele, Cherkasy Tyshki, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka of Kharkiv region; Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Klishchiyivka, Novosadove, Druzhba, Tarasivka, Novooleksandrivka, Progress, Eugene, Novoselivka the First, Umanske, Karlivka, Georgiyivka, Constantinivka, Vodyane, Harvest, Staromayors Уke Donetsk region; Nuts, Preobrazhenka of Zaporizhia region; Berislav, Sadove and Krynki of Kherson region.

More than 110 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions.

In the Kupiansky direction, our soldiers repelled 12 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Synkivka, Pishtina, Kislivka of Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Brestove of Luhansk region.

In the Limans манkomu direction, there were 9 attacks, in the areas of Serebryans такkogo forestry in Luhansk region and Terniv Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 12 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka of Luhansk region and Spirne, Rozdolivka, Novy, Klishchiyivka, southern of Ivanivsky in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders fought off 20 attacks in the areas of settlements Novooleksandrivka, Falcon, Novopokrovsk, Uman Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Paraskoviyivka, Vodyane and Urozhayne of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried 15 times to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the Orihiv direction, the enemy 5 times attacked the positions of our defenders in the areas south of Novodarivka, Staromayorskogo Donetsk region and Robotino Zaporizhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not refuse the intention to knock out our units from placdarmív on the left bank of the Dnieper. Yes, in the past day there are 10 unsuccessful attacks on our troops positions.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire line of battle.

During the day, the Defense Forces aviation struck 7 personnel focus areas, 3 control points, 3 anti-missile complexes and 1 enemy ammunition warehouse. Also, the forces and means of anti-air defense of Ukraine destroyed 1 kerovanu aviation rocket X-59/69.

Missile troop units attacked 1 control point, 1 personnel focus area, 1 radiolocation station and 1 more important enemy object.

In total, last day total losses of Russian zagarbnikív amounted to 860 people. Also, the enemy lost 9 tanks, 18 combat armored vehicles, 21 artillery systems, one RSV, 2 airborne weapons, 1 aircraft, 25 bpla otr, 1 rocket, 37 cars and 4 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
