Ukrainian General Staff: about 1,160 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 39 tanks or APCs destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! The eighty-fourth era of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

During the past day, there have been 97 battles.

In total, the enemy caused 2 rockets and 83 aviation strikes, committed

101 shelling from the reactive systems of the volcano fire on the positions of our troops and on settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are wounded among the civilian population. Destruction and damage were suffered by residential buildings and other objects of civil infrastructure.

During the past day, the settlements of Gremyach Chernihiv region suffered air strikes; Oleksiyivka, Minakove, Bilopillya, Vorozhba Sumy region; Zolochiv, Petropavlivka, Borova Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Bilogorivka, Luhansk region; Andriyivka, Friendship, Progress, Stara Mykolaivka, Kalinove, Novooleksandrivka, Ivanivka, Novoselivka the First, Falcon, Wolf, Eugene, Novopokrovsk, Ant Onivka, Water, Harvest of Donetsk region and Red Lighthouse and Ivanivka in the Kherson region.

More than 120 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

In the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border.

In the Kupians онаkomu direction, defenders of Ukraine fought off 14 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sin .kivka, Píština, Brestove Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.

In the Limans іkomu direction, the Defense Forces were in the way of 7 attacks in the areas of Nevsky, Serebryans реkogo forestry in Luhansk region and Terniv and Yampolivki Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 17 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka of Luhansk region; Verkhnyokamianske, Vyymka, Rozdolivka, Novy, Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka of Donetsk region.

In the Avdiyiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 31 assault actions of Muscovites in the areas of the settlements of Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovsk, Sokil, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka, Netailove and Nevelske of Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorivka, Paraskoviyivka, Konstantinivka, Vodyane and Urozhayne of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried 15 times to break through the defense of our troops.

In the Orekhiv direction, Russians 6 times attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the area of Staromayorsk Donetsk region and Robotnogo Zaporizhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not refuse the intention to knock out our units from placdarmív on the left bank of the Dnipro River. During the past day, the occupiers carried out 3 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops here.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively cause Russian troops losses in live force and equipment, exhaust the enemy along the entire line of combat.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck 11 areas of concentration of enemy personnel. Units of rocket troops caused an impression on 2 artillery of Russians. Air Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 1 Kerovanu aviation missile X-59.

Last day, the total losses of Russian zagarbnikív, bezpovorotní and sanítarní, amounted to approximately 1160 people. The enemy lost 25 tanks, 14 combat armored cars, 37 artillery systems, 1 anti-aircraft vehicle, 34 operational-tactical bpla, 1 rocket, 32 cars and 9 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
