Operational information as of 22.00 02.07.2024 regarding the Russian invasion

The Defense Forces continue to resolutely counter the attempts of the enemy to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine, directing efforts to disrupt the occupiers’ execution of offensive tasks.

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 136 combat clashes. The Russian aggressor is trying to take advantage of live force and support from the air. During the day, a missile hit on the territory of Ukraine with one rocket. In addition, the terrorists committed 41 air strikes – in particular, dropped 58 cabív. In addition, the Zagarians deployed 457 kamikaze drones and carried out almost 3,000 shells on the positions of our troops and settlements using different types of weapons.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian terrorists six times, supported by aviation, stormed the positions of our units in the areas of Vovchansk and Glbokoye. In Vovchansk, the fight is still ongoing. The situation is under control.

According to the information available at this time, within the day, the enemy lost 144 persons killed and wounded and 77 units of armaments and military equipment. In particular, a tank, two artsystems, 10 cars, four control points and a warehouse of fuel and lubricant materials were destroyed. Ten times the enemy attacked our positions in the Kupyan direction. Near synkivka concentrates efforts – five attacks hit, another – continues. Also, two attempts of the enemy to move forward deter our warriors near Stelmahivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian defenders 16 times in the areas of four different settlements a day. Six clashes continue at this time. The enemy is concentrating his efforts near Grekivka and Terniv. In addition, attacked our positions in the areas of nevs Оkogo and makíí̈vka. The situation is under control.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy tried five times to push our defenders out of positions in the areas of Ivano-Daryivka, Spirny and Viimka. Never been successful.

In the Kramators Кkomu direction, eight attempts of zagarbnikív to advance near the time yar and kliš Наíivka. Currently, the fights are being sharpened in three more locations in the districts of Kalinivka, Ivanivsky and Chasovoye Yar.

The situation is tense in the Toretsky direction. The invaders 24 times attacked near Delíivka, Toretsk, Southern, New York and Northern. 15 clashes have been completed. The fighting continues in nine more locations.

Intensely attacks the enemy of Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsky direction. Here, during the day, the aggressor increased effort – in total, he carried out 43 assault and offensive actions. The greatest activity of the Russian occupiers is kept from the Ocheretynogo district, from where the enemy in various directions tries to infiltrate our combat orders. 31 attacks of Ukrainian defenders have already repelled, 12 more fighting continue, in particular, near Evgenivka and Novooleksandrivka. The invaders are losing a lot of life force – for today, our warriors have eliminated and wounded more than 350 enemy troops. At least 11 cannons and mortars were also destroyed and damaged. The losses of the goalkeepers are being specific.

In the Kurakhiv direction at this time of the day, there are 11 combat clashes. The occupiers tried to advance unsuccessfully in the areas of the settlements of Georgiyivka and Paraskoviyvka. Near Krasnogorívka, where the enemy is concentrating efforts, five attacks have already been repelled, the combat is ongoing.

In the Pridniprovsk direction, four assault actions of the enemy on the left bank of the Dnieper were unsuccessful. A loss of positions is not allowed.

In other directions, there have been no significant changes in the environment.

Today, the soldiers of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Guardian General Mark Bezruchko should be noted for their effective combat work, who caused the enemy tangible casualties in live force.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
