Robert W. Helm (Rob) is a Retired Partner and former Deputy Chairman of Dechert LLP, a global law firm. He retired with the title Global Chairman (Emeritus) of the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group, which he led for over 20 years. Rob has also served as Chairman of the Investment Funds Committee of the International Bar Association; as a Trustee of the SEC Historical Society; and as a member of the board of trustees of the Fulbright Association. Rob is currently a member of the board of directors of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Baltimore; a member of the President’s Advisory Council of the University of Akron; and a member of the Life Guard Society of Mt. Vernon. Rob is married to Mimie Helm, who is the Executive Director of the Knott Scholarship Funds. They have two grown daughters and live in Ellicott City, Maryland.
