During a meeting with officials and CDM staff of the Ministry of Education on December 9, Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann said preparations are underway to implement more systematic education services in NUG’s occupied areas after the battles have died down and safe to do so. He said educational institutions are now physically present in areas where an interim administration is being implemented – an upgrade from schools and institutions that were already present virtually. Since its inception, the NUG has formed education boards in various townships and implemented a home-based learning system through online schools and universities and this has been a successful attempt at preventing education from being stymied during the revolution, said the Prime Minister.
