Russian Defense Ministry: Up to 750 Ukrainian troops killed in 24 hours

Last night the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with long-range, sea- and air- based precision weapons against sites where terrorist acts against the Russian Federation were being prepared with the use of unmanned boats, as well as places where they were being manufactured near Odessa. There were foreign mercenaries in the affected facilities.

All the targets have been destroyed.

▫️ The AFU continued unsuccessful attempts to conduct offensive actions in Donetsk, Krasny Liman, South Donetsk, and Zaporozhye directions.

In Donetsk direction, as a result of coordinated and active actions by units of the Yug Group of Forces, aviation and artillery, 14 enemy attacks have been successfully repelled near Belogorovka, Mayorsk, Veseloye, Vodyanoye, Severnoye and Kleshcheevka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

▫️ In addition, enemy units have been hit close to Vesyoloye and Kleshcheevka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

▫️ The enemy losses were up to 370 Ukrainian servicemen, 6 armoured fighting vehicles, 24 motor vehicles, 2 U.S.-manufactured M777 artillery systems, and 1Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.

3ammunition depots of the 22nd, 24th and 54th mechanised brigades of the AFU have been also eliminated close to Spornoye, Dzerzhinsk and Stupochki (Donetsk People’s Republic).

In Krasny Liman direction, as a result of coordinated actions by aviation, artillery, heavy flame thrower systems, and units of the Tsentr Group of Forces, 6 enemy attacks have been repelled close to Novovodyanoye and Karmazinovka (Lugansk People’s Republic).

▫️ In addition, AFU manpower and hardware have been hit near Yampolovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), and Ploshchanka, Chervonaya Dibrova, and Nevskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic).

▫️ The activities of 1Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group have been suppressed close to Nevskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic).

1ammunition depot of the AFU 95th Airborne Assault Brigade has been destroyed near Serebryanka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

▫️ The enemy losses were over 130 Ukrainian servicemen, 10 armoured fighting vehicles, 4 pickup trucks, 1Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, as well as 2D-30 howitzers and 1D-20 howitzer.

In South Donetsk direction, as a result of actions by aviation and artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces, an enemy attack has been repelled close to Novomikhailovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

▫️ In addition, AFU manpower and hardware have been hit near Staromayorskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Priyutnoye (Zaporozhye region).

In Zaporozhye direction, as a result of actions of the Group’s units and artillery, 2 enemy attacks have been successfully repelled near Rabotino (Zaporozhye region).

▫️ AFU units have been hit close to Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka and Charivnoye (Zaporozhye region).

1munition depot of the AFU 105th Artillery Brigade has been destroyed near Novoivanovka (Zaporozhye region).

▫️ The enemy losses were over 160 Ukrainian servicemen, 7 Leopard tanks, 15 armoured fighting vehicles, of which 10Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 5 motor vehicles, 1M777 artillery system, as well as Msta-B and D-20 howitzers.

▫️ The enemy losses were up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, 3 armoured fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles, and 1Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer.

In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 armoured fighting vehicles, as well as 9 motor vehicles.

1AFU ammunition depot has been destroyed near Zmiyevka (Kherson region).

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 104 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and hardware in 132 areas.

▫️ In addition, 3 command posts of 47th, 66th mechanised and 95th airborne assault brigades of the AFU have been hit close to Malaya Tokmachka (Zaporozhye region), Novovodyanoye (Lugansk People’s Republic) and Serebryanka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

▫️ Fighter Aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces have shot down 1 AFU Su-25 aircraft near Verolyubovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

Air defence facilities have intercepted 1HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system projectile, as well as 1Storm Shadow cruise missile.

▫️ In addition, 28 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed close to Olshana, Tavolzhanka (Kharkov region), Verkhnekamenka, Oborotnovka, Privolye, Nikolayevka, Topolevka (Lugansk People’s Republic), Opytnoye, Novopetrikovka, Lipovoye, Trudovoye, Soledar, Yelenovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Novoye, Zelenopol, Peremozhnoye, Kuibyshevo, Pologi (Zaporozhye region).

In total,457 airplanes, 243 helicopters, 5,197 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defence missile systems, 10,854 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1,139 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 5,573 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 11,848 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
