Russian Defence Ministry on progress of special military operation as of 12 February 2026
Over the past 24 hours, in response to terrorist attacks launched by the Kiev regime against civilian infrastructure in Russia, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with long-range ground- and air-based high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against power infrastructure facilities that supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine as well as assembly workshops and storage areas of attack UAVs.
The goal of the strike was achieved. All the assigned targets were engaged.
The Sever Group of Forces improved the tactical situation. Russian troops inflicted fire damage on formations of two mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one territorial defence brigade, and one border security detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine near Kondratovka, Andreyevka, Miropolye, and Novodmitrovka (Sumy region).
In Kharkov region, Russian troops hit units of one mechanised brigade of the AFU and one territorial defence brigade near Pokrovka and Petropavlovka (Kharkov region).
The AFU losses were more than 210 troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, 10 motor vehicles, one Grad MLRS combat vehicle, and two field artillery guns. In addition, 12 ammunition and materiel depots were neutralised.
The Zapad Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions. Russian troops launched attacks on manpower and hardware of two mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and one National Guard brigade near Borovaya, Kovalevka, and Nechvolodovka (Kharkov region).
The enemy losses were up to 180 troops, three Kazak armoured fighting vehicles, 15 motor vehicles, four artillery guns, and three ammunition depots.
The Yug Group of Forces improved the situation along the front line. Russian troops hit formations of one motorised infantry brigade, two mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one marine brigade, and one territorial defence brigade near Slavyansk, Konstantinovka, Dmitrovka, Yurkovka, and Nikiforovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
The AFU losses were more than 120 troops, one U.S.-made HMMWV armoured fighting vehicle, eight motor vehicles, and one field artillery gun.
The Tsentr Group of Forces took more advantageous lines and positions. Russian troops inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of one airmobile brigade, one jaeger brigade, three mechanised brigades of the AFU, one territorial defence brigade, and two National Guard brigades close to Grishino, Svetloye, Belitskoye, Kucherov Yar, Sergeyevka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Novopavlovka, Gavrilovka, and Novopodgorodnoye (Dnepropetrovsk region).
The AFU losses were up to 315 troops, one German-made Leopard tank, one armoured fighting vehicle, nine motor vehicles, and two field artillery guns.

The enemy losses were more than 390 troops, two armoured personnel carriers, 15 armoured fighting vehicles, 19 motor vehicles, and three artillery guns.
Units of the Dnepr Group of Forces delivered strikes at manpower and hardware of one heavy mechanised brigade and one UAV brigade of the AFU near Novoaleksandrovka (Zaporozhye region) and Veseloye (Kherson region).
The AFU losses were up to 55 troops, 23 motor vehicles, four artillery guns including one U.S.-made 155-mm M777 howitzer, one Grad MLRS combat vehicle, four electronic warfare stations, and one ammunition depot.
Operational-Tactical Aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces hit the infrastructure of a military airfield, transport infrastructure facilities that supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine as well as temporary deployment areas of the AFU and foreign mercenaries in 147 areas.
Air defence systems shot down five Flamingo long-range cruise missiles, six guided aerial bombs, eight U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS projectiles, and 211 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the enemy has lost:
670 aircraft,
283 helicopters,
113,737 unmanned aerial vehicles,
650 anti-aircraft missile systems,
27,620 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles,
1,664 MLRS combat vehicles,
33,234 field artillery guns and mortars,
54,176 support military vehicles.
