Russian Defence Ministry on progress of special military operation (6–12 December 2025)
In response to the terrorist attacks launched by Ukraine against civilian facilities in the Russian Federation from 6 to 12 December 2025, the Russian Armed Forces carried out mass and five group strikes including by Kinzhal hypersonic air-launched ballistic missiles. They hit enterprises of the Ukrainian defence industry, fuel and power facilities providing them with work, transport, airfield, and port infrastructure used for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, assembly facilities, storage areas, pre-flight training sites of long-range strike unmanned aerial vehicles, fuel and military equipment depots as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.
Over the past week, as a result of resolute actions of the Sever Group of Forces units in Kharkov direction, Russian troops liberated Liman (Kharkov region).
Strikes were delivered at formations of three mechanised brigades, two motorised infantry brigades, a jaeger brigade, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a territorial defence brigade, and a border detachment of the Ukrainian border service.
In Sumy region, strikes were delivered at manpower and hardware of two mechanised brigades, a motorised infantry brigade, an infantry brigade, a jaeger brigade, an air assault brigade, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, three territorial defence brigades, and a border detachment of the Ukrainian border service.
In total, the enemy has lost more than 1,470 troops, a tank, eight armoured fighting vehicles, 72 motor vehicles, 12 field artillery guns, two counter-fire radars, and 18 ammunition and materiel depots in the area of responsibility of the Sever Group of Forces.
The Zapad Group of Forces units continue to destroy an AFU group surrounded on the left bank of the Oskol River. Kurilovka and Kucherovka (Kharkov region) have been liberated.
Russian troops engaged four mechanised brigades, an airmobile brigade, two assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a territorial defence brigade, and two national guard brigades.
The enemy losses in this direction amounted to more than 1,530 troops, two tanks, 34 armoured fighting vehicles, including 17 Western-made vehicles, 98 motor vehicles, and 11 field artillery guns. Seven electronic warfare stations and 47 ammunition depots were neutralised.
Over the past week, the Yug Group of Forces liberated Seversk and Chervonoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
Russian troops inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of four mechanised brigades, an airmobile brigade, two assault brigades, an air assault brigade, a mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade, two territorial defence brigades, and two national guard brigades.
In total, more than 1,095 troops, 24 armoured fighting vehicles including six NATO-made vehicles, 81 motor vehicles, and eight field artillery guns, have been neutralised in the area of responsibility of the Yug Group of Forces. Six electronic warfare stations and 35 ammunition, fuel, and materiel depots were neutralised.

Over the past week, the AFU has lost more than 1,580 troops, 26 armoured fighting vehicles, 78 motor vehicles, eight field artillery guns, four electronic warfare stations, and three ammunition and materiel depots in the Vostok Group’s area of responsibility.
The Dnepr Group of Forces liberated Novodanilovka (Zaporozhye region).
Russian troops hit two mechanised brigades, a mountain assault brigade, and three coastal defence brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Up to 310 troops, five armoured fighting vehicles, 78 motor vehicles, five field artillery guns including three U.S.-made U.S.-made M777 howitzers, nine electronic warfare stations, and 14 ammunition, fuel, and materiel depots have been neutralised.
Over the week, strike drones, missile troops, and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed four MLRS and one anti-aircraft missile system of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Over the past week, the Russian Aerospace Forces have shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.
Air defence systems shot down three guided aerial bombs, 27 U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS projectiles, five Neptune long-range guided missiles, and 1,756 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Black Sea Fleet destroyed one AFU uncrewed surface vehicle in the central part of the Black Sea.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the enemy has lost:
