Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and seventy-first day of large-scale armed aggression by the russian federation against Ukraine continues.

The russian FEDERATION continues to wage a war of aggression. Completely ignores International Humanitarian Law. In order to achieve its goals, it continues to use terror tactics, carries out strikes and attacks on civilian objects, in particular, and residential areas.

According to detailed information, in the period from 00:00 at night to 04:20 in the morning, the russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Iranian attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type and Kh-101/Kh-555 air-based cruise missiles against military facilities and critical infrastructure facilities.

The air defense of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 4 out of 7 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, 4 out of 10 attack UAVs “Shahed”, “Lancet” and 4 UAVs operationally – tactical level (“Orlan-10” and “Supercam”).

In total, during the day, the enemy launched 8 rocket attacks on civilian houses in the city of Zviagel, Zhytomyr Region, and on the outskirts of Kharkiv.

In addition, it carried out 58 airstrikes and fired 31 salvo rockets at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population, destroyed and damaged private houses, a hospital and other civilian infrastructure.

The probability of launching missile and air strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on attempts to completely occupy the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. During the day, 27 combat clashes took place.

On the Volyn and Polissiya directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of hostile offensive groups. Separate units of the armed forces of the russian federation continue to be stationed at the training grounds of the republic of belarus.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas with Ukraine, strengthens the composition of the border cover group at the expense of units of the territorial troops. During the day, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Karpovychi, Leonivka, Gremyach of Chernihiv region; Khliborob, Sorokyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Yunakivka, Myropyllya, Slavgorod and Velika Pisarivka of the Sumy region, as well as more than 20 settlements in the Kharkiv region, among them Basove, Veterinarne, Visoka Yaruga, Izbytske, Verkhnya Pisarivka, Gatyshche, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky and Zemlyanki on Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Dvorichna, Masyutivka, Liman Pershiy, Kislivka, Tabaivka, Berestov in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in Luhansk region were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Lyman direction, during the day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Bilogorivka. Carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Nevske in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Dronivka, Siversk, Spirne in the Donetsk region. Nevske, Bilogorivka of the Luhansk region and Torske, Dibrova, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the direction of Bohdanivka, without success. Carried out airstrikes in the Belaya Hora and Toretsk districts of the Donetsk region. Areas of Zvanivka, Nikiforivka, Vasyukivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Kalynivka, Ivanivske, Bila Gora, Druzhba, Toretsk, North Donetsk region were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy made unsuccessful offensive attempts near Severne and Nevelske settlements. Carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vasylivka and Pervomaiskyi. Carried out artillery shelling of the areas of settlements of Novodonetske, Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Vodyane, Nevelske Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka direction, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of the city of Maryinka. The enemy suffered losses. At the same time, the enemy carried out artillery shelling in the areas of Georgiyivka, Maryinka, Ostrivske, Kurakhove, Dachne, Pobyeda, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka settlements of the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Velika Novosilka and Blagodatne regions of the Donetsk region. Shelled the settlements of Vugledar, Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka, Zolota Niva and Neskuchne in the Donetsk region.

The enemy continues to conduct defensive operations in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. Carried out airstrikes in the Novosilka region of the Donetsk region and Olhivskyi, Gulyaipol and Stepovoy in the Zaporizhzhia region. Carried out artillery fire on more than 30 settlements. Among them are Burlatske, Zelene Pole, Novosilka, Novopil, Temyrivka of the Donetsk region; Olhivske, Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Biloghirya and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region and the city of Kherson.

In Arapivka, Luhansk region, about 90 servicemen of the russian occupation forces, who voluntarily left their combat positions, deserted.

The air force of the defense forces struck 16 airstrikes on personnel concentration areas during the day in and 2 – on the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems.

During the day, our units of missile troops and artillery hit 4 control points, 6 areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 3 ammunition warehouses and 5 artillery units of the enemy in firing positions.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
