Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and ninety-first day of large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation against our state continues.

The russian federation continues to kill the civilian population of Ukraine, continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, and uses tactics of terror against the civilian population.

Today, the enemy used 6 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles against the objects of the civil infrastructure of the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Chuguyiv. In addition, during the day, the enemy carried out 23 airstrikes, carried out about 46 attacks from MLRS systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Marinka directions – about 22 combat clashes took place during the day.

On the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 10 settlements, in particular, these are Karpovychi and Tymonovychi in the Chernihiv region and Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novgorodskoe and Yunakivka in the Sumy region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched an air strike in the area of Klyslivka. Kislivka and Berestov of the Kharkiv region were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the Rozdolivka and Bilogorivka areas. Carried out airstrikes near Bilogorivka in Luhansk region and Lyman and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region. More than 5 settlements, in particular, Belogorivka of Luhansk region and Verkhnokamianske and Rozdolivka – Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Bakhmut region. Airstrikes near Bila Gora and Diliivka, Donetsk region. About 10 settlements, including Vasyukivka, Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske in Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, with the support of aviation, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Avdiivka area. Carried out artillery shelling of more than 5 settlements, including Stepove, Avdiivka and Vodyane of the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of the city of Marinka, as well as in Pobieda and Novomykhailivka. At the same time, the enemy carried out airstrikes near Krasnohorivka and Nevelskyi, conducted artillery fire on more than 10 settlements. In particular, Nevelske, Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Pobyeda of the Donetsk region came under fire.

On the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Novomykhailivka. The adversary carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vugledar, Zolotaya Niva, Makarivka and Rivnopol of the Donetsk region. He shelled about 10 settlements, including Prechistivka, Vugledar, Zolota Niva and Blagodatne in Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. He carried out airstrikes in the Molodizhny and Antonivka districts of the Kherson region. He carried out artillery shelling of more than 25 settlements, including Poltavka, Gulyaipole, Gulyaipilske, Pyatikhatky, Lobkovo, Zaporizhzhia of the Zaporizhzhia region; Antonivka, Kherson, Dniprovske, Veletenske, Kherson region and Ochakiv in the Mykolayiv region.

The aviation of the defense forces struck 11 airstrikes on areas where the enemy’s personnel were concentrated during the day.

During the day, units of missile forces and artillery hit 2 control points, a radar station and an artillery unit in a firing position.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
