Glory to Ukraine! The five hundred and second day of large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation against our state continues.

Tonight, the russian federation launched another missile attack on the territory of one of the infrastructure facilities of Mykolaiv. Also, the enemy carried out 22 airstrikes and carried out about 30 attacks from MLRS systems. Unfortunately, civilian infrastructure was destroyed and civilians suffered.

The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivsk, and Marinka directions, heavy battles are ongoing. During the day, 17 combat clashes took place.

On the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

During the day, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions in the districts of Basovoy, Odnorobivka, and Veterinaryny of the Kharkiv region. Carried out mortar and artillery shelling of about 10 settlements, among them Girsk of the Chernihiv region; Chuykivka of the Sumy region and Uda, Veterinarne, Ohirtseve, Zemlianka of the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers are firmly holding the defense. Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Masyutivka and Kislivka of the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Lyman direction, during the day, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Rozdolivka and Bilogorivka settlements of the Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Nevske, Bilogorivka of the Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhnyokamianske, Ivano-Daryivka, Berestov, Vesele, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, under heavy fire from the enemy’s aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled attacks in the area of Hryhorivka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike near Toretsk. More than 10 settlements, including Vasyukivka, Bogdanivka, Khromov, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and Pivdenne of the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of russian troops in the Northern region of Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Avdiivka area. At the same time, the enemy fired artillery at more than 

10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, under enemy artillery fire, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the areas of Marinka and Krasnohorivka settlements. Near the latter, the enemy also carried out an air strike. Shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Georgiivka, and Pobyeda in the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Novomykhailivka area of the Donetsk region. Conducted an airstrike near Odradny in Donetsk region. Shelled more than 10 settlements, including Vugledar, Storozheve and Blagodatne of the Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the further advance of our troops. Carried out artillery shelling of more than 20 settlements, including Novodarivka, Levadne, Malynyvka, Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Orihiv of the Zaporizhzhia region; Beryslav, Kozatske, Lviv, Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Dniprovske of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, are entrenched at the reached boundaries, inflict fire damage with artillery on identified enemy targets, and carry out counter-battery countermeasures.

During the day, the aviation of the defense forces made 4 strikes on the area of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy. Our defenders also destroyed 3 operational-tactical reconnaissance UAVs.

During the day, units of missile troops and artillery hit the command post, 3 areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, an ammunition warehouse, 7 artillery pieces in firing positions and one means of anti-aircraft defense of the occupiers.

Enemy Carries on Placing Mines at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

The invaders continue placing mines at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and objects located within the territory of the plant. Now, they are delivering mines and explosives to the territory of Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The occupiers installed mine and explosive barriers, consisting of remotely controlled and unguided directional type anti-personnel landmines, in industrial premises and engine rooms.

russians mostly use the soviet-standard directional type mines, such as MON-50, MON-90, MON-100 and MON-200.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
