The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.2022 to 05.07.2023 were approximately:

Glory to Ukraine! Four hundred and ninety-seven days of large-scale armed aggression by the russian federation against our country continue.

Tonight, the russian occupiers struck with five Iranian attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type. Two kamikaze drones were destroyed by our air defense.

During the day, the enemy carried out 48 airstrikes and launched 54 attacks from MLRS systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions – about 30 combat clashes took place during the day.

On the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of formation of enemy offensive groups were detected. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

The enemy maintains a military presence in the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions. Carried out airstrikes in the districts of Hrabovsky, Sumy region; Pletenivky of the Kharkiv region and the city of Kharkiv. During the day, he carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 35 settlements, in particular, Girsk, Tymonovichi, Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Stukalyvka of Sumy Oblast and Kozacha Lopan, Zelene and Gatyshche in Kharkiv Oblast.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy does not stop trying to advance in the Novoselyvskyi district of the Luhansk region. Our soldiers are firmly on the defensive, repelling all enemy attacks. The occupiers carried out airstrikes in the Ivanivka and Kislivka districts of the Kharkiv region. Petro-Ivanivka, Figolivka, Monachynivka, Gusynka, Novomlynsk and Kislivka of the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy, in the course of offensive operations, tried to dislodge our troops from their occupied positions in the Novoyehorivka area of the Luhansk region, but was unsuccessful. Carried out an airstrike in the region of Belogorivka, Luhansk region. More than 10 settlements, including Nevske, Belogorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhnyokamianske, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

In the direction of Bakhmut, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas south of Berkhivka and Bohdanivka, Donetsk region. At the same time, they continue to conduct offensive actions to the south and north of the city of Bakhmut, and are entrenched at the achieved boundaries. The enemy launched airstrikes in the Bohdanivka and Toretsk districts. More than 10 settlements, including Vasyukivka, Khromov, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and North of Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to deter the advance of russian troops in the area of the city of Avdiivka. At the same time, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Avdiivka and Nevelsky areas. Carried out artillery fire on more than 
10 settlements, in particular, Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Nevelske and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region were affected.

In the Marinka direction, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of the city of Marinka. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the Krasnohorivka region of the Donetsk region. Shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Hanivka, Maryinka, and Pobyeda of the Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Zolotaya Niva and Makarivka in Donetsk region. Shelled more than 10 settlements, including Novomykhailivka, Vugledar, Novoukrainka and Prechistivka in the Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. Carried out airstrikes in the Zmiivka and Antonivka districts of the Kherson region. Conducted artillery shelling of more than 
40 settlements, including Levadne, Olhivske, Malynivka, Gulyaipole, Biloghirya of the Zaporizhzhia region; Tokarivka, Antonivka, Veletenske, Kizomys of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson. At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, are entrenched at the reached boundaries, inflict artillery fire on identified enemy targets, and carry out counter-battery countermeasures.

The air force of the defense forces struck 10 airstrikes on areas where the occupying personnel were concentrated during the day.

During the day, units of Missile forces and Artillery struck 1 area of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 1 control post, 1 ammunition depot, 8 artillery pieces in firing positions, 2 anti-aircraft defense equipment, 1 radar station and 3 radio electronic warfare stations of the enemy.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
