Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and fifty-fifth day of large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation against our state continues.

The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, he does not give up his plans for the full occupation of Ukraine. The adversary continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, strikes, and attacks both military and civilian targets.

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

During the day, 82 combat clashes took place.

The enemy launched 2 missile and 33 air strikes, fired 29 MLRS fire strikes at the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of the russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

On the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of the russian federation, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. About 25 settlements, including Khrinivka, Klyusy, Arkhipivka of Chernihiv region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling; Seredyna-Buda, Progress, Druzhba, Kruzhok, Grabovske, Popivka of the Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Grafske, Vovchansk, Bochkovo, Budarky of the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 4 enemy attacks in the Sinkivka and Petropavlivka districts of the Kharkiv region. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Petropavlivka, Kharkiv Region, and Tverdokhlibovo, Luhansk Region. About 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestovka of the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, the defense forces repelled 5 enemy attacks in the areas of Terni, Vesely, Donetsk region, and Makiivka, Luhansk region. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the area of Makiivka and Serebryansk Forestry of Luhansk Oblast. About 10 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire, among them Nevske, Belogorivka of Luhansk region and Torske, Serebryanka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 11 enemy attacks in the Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivskyi, Klishchiivka and Andriivka districts of the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk settlements of the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Orihovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Bogdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, New York of the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed 39 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepovoy, Avdiivka, south of Severnoy and Tonenkoy, Pervomaisky of the Donetsk region. Here the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Kalynove, Ocheretyne, Novopokrovske and Avdiivka settlements of the Donetsk region. About 15 settlements, including Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Marinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, launched 14 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our defenders. Such settlements of the Donetsk region as Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Marinka, Pobyeda, Novomykhailivka came under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

In the Shakhtarske direction, the defense forces repelled all attacks by the enemy, who tried to dislodge our units from the occupied lines in the area southeast of Ugledar, Donetsk region. About 10 settlements, including Vodyane, Vugledar, Zolota Niva, Urozhane, Rivnopil of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the defense forces repelled 3 enemy attacks in the Robotyno region of the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Levadne, Malynyvka, Verkhnya Tersa, Charivne, Novoandriivka, and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region, were hit by artillery and mortar fire.

Tyaginka, Ivanivka, Antonivka of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson were subjected to enemy artillery fire in the Kherson direction; Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region.

The Defense Forces will continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro river in the Kherson region and continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy.

Units of the Missile Forces inflicted damage on 3 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 1 storage of ammunition of the russian occupiers.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
