Ukrainian General Staff: 850 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 31 tanks or armored vehicles destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! The seven hundred forty-five era of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

Over the past day, according to detailed information, 63 combat clashes have been recorded. Also, the enemy fired 8 missiles and 107 air strikes, carried out 113 shelling with reactive volcano fire systems across the positions of our troops and settlements.

Air strikes were suffered by the settlements of Sopych, Sidorivka and Wolfine of Sumy region; Vovchansk, Synkivka, Tabayivka and Brestove of Kharkiv region; Bilogorivka and Makiyivka in Luhansk region; Friendship, Novooleksandrivka, Progress, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Novoselivka, Novopokrovsk, Ocheretyne, Zhelanne, Volodymyrivka of Donetsk region; Upper Tersa in Zaporozhye and the city of Kherson.

More than 140 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “North” in the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the northern and slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Khortytsia” in the Kupiansky direction, the enemy 3 times attacked the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Synkivka and Kislivka of Kharkiv region, trying to improve their tactical position.

In the Limans сьkomu direction, our soldiers repelled 5 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Terna and Spirne of Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 9 attacks of the enemy in the areas of Andriyivka and Klishchievka settlements.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Tavria”, in the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders repelled 15 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements Berdychy, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Pobeda, Krasnogorivka and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried 22 times to break through the defense of our troops.

8 attacks of the enemy in the areas of Robotiny and western Palm Zaporizhzhia region were repelled in the Orykhiv direction.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Odessa” in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to maintain positions.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces Aviation has struck 10 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment. Defense forces destroyed 12 of 15 launched by Russian occupiers of the type “Shahed”.

The units of the missile troops have been affected in 1 focus area of weapons and military equipment, 1 control point, 3 radio-electronic combat stations, including two R-330Z “Resident”, 1 heavy fire system TOS-1A “Solntsepek” and 1 warehouse of enemy ammunition.

In total, last day total losses of Russian zagarbnikív amounted to 850 people. Also, the enemy lost 6 tanks, 25 combat armored cars, 53 artillery systems, one RSV, 3 anti-aircraft vehicles, 43 BpLA operational-tactical level, 85 vehicles and 10 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
