Ukrainian General Staff: about 1,050 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 31 tanks or APC’s destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! Seventy-hundred and fifty-ninth era of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

During the past day, there were 69 combat clashes.

In total, the enemy carried out 88 missiles and 143 air strikes, carried out 92 shelling from volcano fire jet systems across the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population.

On the night of March 23, 2024, the enemy attacked with four C-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles across Donetsk and 34-th Shahed-type BpLA from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation and Cape Chaud in temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea.

As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 31 “martyrs” were destroyed within Poltava, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.

During the past day, the settlements of Semenivka Chernihiv region suffered from air strikes; Neskuchne, Oleksandrivka, Friendship of Sumy region; Odradne, Kolodyazne, Petropavlivka, Kotlyarivka Kharkiv region; Belogorivka Luhansk region; Terni, Yampolivka, Chasiv Yar, Alexander-Shultine, Ocheretyne, Novobakhmutivka, Zhelanne, Novogrodivka, Berdychi, Novoselivka the First, Semenivka, Karlivka, Krasno ghorivka, Novomykhlivka, Konstantinivka, Vugledar, Staromayorskke Donetsk region and Robotyne in Zaporozhye.

About 140 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

In the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions.

In the Kupiansky direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out 3 unsuccessful assaults of Defense Forces positions in the areas of the settlements of Synkivka, Tabayivka and Brestove of Kharkiv region.

In the Limansky direction, our soldiers repelled 7 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka Luhansk region and Spirne in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 5 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements Ivanivskie, Andriyivka and Klishchievka of Donetsk region.

In the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders repelled 10 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Berdyči, Tonenke, Pervomais вke and Nevels Авke.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodâne and Urozhaine, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried 28 times to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the Orihiv direction, occupants 10 times, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Staromayorsk, southern Novodarivka Donetsk region and near Robotinyo in Zaporozhye.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not refuse the intention to knock out our units from placdarmív on the left bank of the Dnieper. Yes, over the past day, 2 positions of Ukrainian troops were attacked.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausted the enemy along the entire front lines.

During the day, the Defense Forces Aviation struck 13 areas of concentration, weapons and military equipment of enemy.

The missile troops units affected 2 areas of focus, 1 air defense device and 4 important occupier objects.

In total, last day total losses of Russian zagarbnikív amounted to 1050 people. Also, the enemy lost 12 tanks, 19 combat armored vehicles, 36 artillery systems, 75 bpla otr, 39 rockets, 57 cars and 19 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
