Ukrainian General Staff: about 1,160 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 45 tanks or APC’S destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! Seventy-hundred and fifty-second era of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, there were 78 combat clashes.

In total, the enemy caused 10 rockets and 68 aviation strikes, carried out

89 shelling from the reactive systems of volcano fire on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population.

During the past day, the settlements of Popivka, Vilne, Oleksandrivka, Velika Pysarivka, Lukashivka, Dmitrivka of Sumy region; Baranivka, Zolochiv, Pokalyane, Petropavlivka of Kharkiv region; Nadiya, Bilogorivka of Luhansk region; Siversk, Semenivka, Kalinivka, Chasiv Yar, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Novoselivka the First, Orlivka, Umanske, Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Pobeda, Kos tantinivka of Donetsk region and Robotyne in Zaporozhye.

About 100 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

In the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Khortytsia”, in the Kupiansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled 3 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Synkivka and Tabayivka of Kharkiv region, where the enemy tried to improve his tactical position.

In the Limansky direction, our soldiers repelled 9 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka Luhansk region and Terni and Rozdolivka in Donetsk, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders repelled 3 attacks of the enemy in the areas of Andriyivka and Klishchievka settlements of Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Tavria”, in the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders repelled 26 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements Berdychy, Orlivka, Tonenke and Pervomaiske.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka and Novomykhailivka, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried 24 times to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the Orihiv direction, the invaders 7 times attacked the positions of our defenders in the areas of Staromayorsky in Donetsk and Robotinogo Zaporizhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Odessa”, in the Kherson direction, the enemy does not refuse the intention to knock out our units from placdarmív on the left bank of the Dnieper. Yes, in the past day there were 3 unsuccessful raids on our troops positions.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire line of battle.

During the past day, the Defense Forces aviation has struck 7 areas of enemy personnel concentration.

Also, on the night of March 16, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 2 of 2 Shahed attack drones. It happened in Kharkiv region.

In total, last day total losses of Russian zagarbnikív amounted to 1160 people. The enemy also lost 21 tanks, 24 combat armored vehicles, 26 artillery systems, 2 airborne vehicles, 14 Bpla OTR, 2 wing missiles, 31 vehicles and a special equipment unit.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
