Ukrainian General Staff: About 960 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 43 tanks and APC’s destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! Seventy-hundred thirty-eighth era of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

During the past day, there have been 82 combat clashes. In total, the enemy carried out 9 missiles and 100 aviation strikes, carried out 161 shelling from the volcano fire jet systems on the positions of our troops and settlements.

At night, Russian invaders včergove attacked Ukraine – zadâali 17 bpla type “shahed”. By the forces and means of air defense of Ukraine 14 striking bpla was destroyed.

On Friday, March 1, around 09:00, in the east direction destroyed the enemy bomber-bomber SU-34, who tried to hit our positions controlled air bombs.

During the past day, the settlements of Druzhba, Hlukhiv, Wolfine of Sumy region; Ohrimivka, Vilhuvatka, Hatnee, Poplar, Kislivka, Garden of Kharkiv region; Bilogorivka in Luhansk region; Terni, Chasiv Yar, Friendship, Novokalinove, Alexandropil, Arkhangelsk, Novooleksandrivka, Ocheretyne, Progress, Novobakhmutívka, Toretsk, Katerinivka, Staromayorske, Harvest of Donetsk region t and little tokmačka, novodanilívka and robotine in zaporozhye.

More than 140 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “North”, in the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the northern and slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of osuv “Khortytsia”, in the kupâns янkomu direction, the enemy of offensive (stormovih) actions did not lead.

In the Limansky direction, our soldiers repelled 14 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Terni, Yampolivka, Rozdolivka Donetsk region and Bilogorivka – Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 8 attacks of the enemy in the areas of Bogdanivka, Ivanivka and Andriyivka of the Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Tavria”, in the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders repelled 24 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements Berdychy, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka and Urozhynogo Donetsk region, where the enemy 29 times tried to break through the defense of our troops.

In the oríhívs ріkomu direction the enemy of the aggressive (storming) actions did not lead.

In the area of responsibility of the OSUV “Odessa” in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to maintain positions. The opponent of aggressive (storm) actions did not lead.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausted the enemy along the entire front lines.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 13 areas of concentration of enemy personnel.

The missile troop units attacked 1 focus area of military equipment, 3 artillery, 3 control points and 3 enemy ammunition warehouses.

In total, last day total losses of Russian zagarbnikív amounted to 960 people. Also, the enemy lost 14 tanks, 29 combat armored vehicles, 47 artillery systems, 3 RSVs, 5 anti-aircraft vehicles, 1 aircraft, 35 Bpla OTR, 3 wing missiles, 61 vehicles and 6 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
