Ukrainian General Staff:  About 990 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 52 tanks or APC’s destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! Seventy-hundred and sixty-sixth era of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, there were 75 combat clashes.

In total, over the past day, the enemy fired 14 missiles and

106 air strikes, carried out 99 shellings from jet fire systems across the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population.

On the night of March 24, 2024, Russian occupiers deployed to hit 29 winged missiles from 14 aircraft of strategic aviation tu-95ms and 28 impact bpla type “shahed”.

As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 43 air targets were destroyed: 18 winged rockets ер-101 / м-555 and 25 attack bpla “Shahed” in the boundaries of Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Sumy, Kyiv, Volyn and Lviv regions.

During the past day, the settlements of Seredina-Buda, Vorozhba Sumy region; Zemlyanki, Potikhonove, Bologivka, Kislivka Kharkiv region; Belogorivka Luhansk region; Terni, Yampolivka, Rozdolivka, Chasiv Yar, Dachne, Friendship, Umanske, Semenivka, Novobakhmutívka, Zhdanove, Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Krasnogorivka, Novomykhlivka, Urozhaine, Vugledar, Staromayorske, Makarivka Do Netskoí̈ region; Robotine, malinivka, small tokmačka, stepove zaporizhia region; tokarívka, Train of Kherson region.

About 140 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

In the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive fences along the state border.

In the kupâns шkomu direction, the enemy of aggressive (storm) actions did not lead.

In the Limansky direction, our soldiers repelled 8 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka Luhansk region and Terna, Yampolivka, Rozdolivka, Vesele, Spirne Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops.

In the Bakhmutsk direction, our soldiers repelled 15 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Klishchiyivka, Bogdanivka, Ivanivka, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders repelled 13 attacks of the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Berdychy, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Yasnobrodivka and Nevels їke Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Pobeda, Konstantinivka and Urozhaine, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defenses of our troops 34 times.

In the Orihiv direction, the enemy 4 times, supported by aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders in the area of the settlement of Robotine of Zaporizhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not give up the intention to knock out our units from the plazdarm on the left bank of the Dnieper and over the past day carried out 2 unsuccessful attacks of our troops positions in the area of the settlement of Krynka of Kherson region.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire line of battle.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces aviation has struck 10 focus areas of live force, weapons and military equipment and one enemy composition.

The units of the rocket troops were affected in 1 area of focus, 4 control points, 2 air defense means,

1 artillery, 1 REB station and 1 occupant radiolocation station.

In conclusion, last day total losses of Russian zagarbnikív amounted to 990 people. Also, the enemy lost 24 tanks, 28 combat armored vehicles, 44 artillery systems, 47 Bpla OTR, 63 vehicles and 10 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
