Operational information as of 22.00 03.07.2024 regarding the Russian invasion

The Defense Forces continue to resolutely counter the attempts of the enemy to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine, directing efforts to disrupt the occupiers’ execution of offensive tasks.

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 135 combat clashes. The Russian aggressor is trying to take advantage of live force and support from the air. During the day, terrorists launched 6 missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine using 16 missiles. In addition, the enemy launched 36 air strikes (dropped 51 KABs), deployed 303 kamikaze drones and over 2,600 shelled the positions of our troops and settlements using different types of weapons.

In the Kharkiv direction Russian terrorists 11 times, supported by aviation, stormed the positions of our units in the areas of Liptsiv, Vovchansk and Glybokoye. In the area of vovčans Вka is currently in progress. The situation is under control.

According to the information available at this time, during the day the enemy lost 111 people killed and wounded and 64 units of weapons and military equipment. In particular, a tank and seven cars were destroyed. In addition, one cannon and three combat armored vehicles were damaged. The countdown is on.

Four times the enemy attacked our positions in the Kupâns .komu direction. The fights were sharpened near stelmahivka, where three attacks were repelled, another – continues.

In the Lyman direction for the day Russian troops 29 times attacked Ukrainian defenders. In the areas of the settlements of Grekivka, Nevske, Makiyivka, Terni, 23 attacks were repelled, five attacks of the enemy are ongoing. There is also a fight in the Serebryans триkomu forest. The situation is under control.

In the sívers поkomu direction, our troops repelled 3 attacks of the enemy near the verkhnyokamâns верkogo and viymka. The opponent of success did not succeed.

The situation is tense in the Toretsky direction. The occupiers tried 17 times to appease Ukrainian defenders near Deliyivka, Toretsk, Northern and New York.

Intensely attacks the enemy of our warriors in the pokrovsky direction. Throughout the day, the aggressor in total carried out 34 assault and offensive actions. The largest activity of Russian occupiers is kept in the regions of Kalinovoye, Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvizhenko, Evgenivka, Progresa, Yasnobrodivka, Umansky and Karlivka. 24 attacks Ukrainian defenders have already fought, another 10 boêzítknen вже continue. In the Kurakhiv direction at this time of the day counts 12 combat clashes. The occupiers tried to advance unsuccessfully in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Paraskoviyivka and Konstantinivka.

In the Vremívs дяkomu direction, the enemy spent four attempts to attack the positions of our soldiers near the settlements of Vodyane, Urozhayne and Makarivka. Never been successful.

The enemy became more active in the Orihiv direction, where nine unsuccessful attacks in the vicinity of the settlements of Robotine and Scherbaky in a day.

In the Pridniprovsk direction, three assault actions of the enemy on the left bank of the Dnieper were unsuccessful. A loss of positions is not allowed.

In other directions, there have been no significant changes in the environment.

Ukrainian defenders from 44 separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Danilo Apostle should be noted today. They continue to effectively reduce the combat potential of Russian occupiers in Zaporozhye. Accurate and sometimes even effective.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
