Ukrainian General Staff: 680 Russian combat casualties, 48 tanks and armored vehicles struck in 24 hours

Glory to Ukraine! Day 617 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.

The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukrainian territory.

During the day of November 2, there were 38x combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 4x missile and 44x air strikes, 59x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the attacks have wounded civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged. 

The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The occupiers launched an air strike near the settlement of Mohrytsya (Sumy oblast). More than 15x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Yeline, Karpovychi, Leonivka (Chernihiv oblast) Volfyne, Mohrytsya, Stepok (Sumy oblast), Hatyshche, Vovchans’k, Ternova (Kharkiv oblast).

Kup’yans’k axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Syn’kivka, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 5x attacks in the area. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Petropavlivka, Kurylivka and Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at the settlements of Dvorichna, Syn’kivka, Kyslivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) operations. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Serebryans’ke forestry, Vyimka, Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Tors’ke, Serebryanka, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the enemy made 6x unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). At the same time the invaders conducted assault actions near Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The occupiers launched air strikes near Klishchiivka and Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast). About 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka, Bila Hora, Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast). 

Avdiivka axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Sjeverne and Tonen’ke (Donetsk oblast), where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5x attacks. Also, the adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at about 10x settlements, including Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomais’ke (Donetsk oblast).

Mar’inka axis: the adversary conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Mar’inka (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 18x attacks in that area. Also, the adversary launched an air strike near Mar’inka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements of Donetsk oblast, including Krasnohorivka, Mar’inka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Shakhtars’ke axis: the adversary conducted assault operations in the vicinity of Staromaiors’ke (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Vodyane and Staromaiors’ke. Around 10x settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Zaporizhzhia axis: the adversary made failed attempts to regain lost ground near Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes near Novodanylivka and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20x settlements, including Malynivka, Charivne, Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky, Kam’yans’ke (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Kherson axis: the occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Respublikanets’, Antonivka, Novokairy, Prydniprovs’ke, Tyahynka (Kherson oblast). The settlements of Antonivka, Stanislav, Beryslav, Vesele, Shyroka Balka (Kherson oblast), the city of Kherson, and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast) suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol’ axis and offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.

During the day of November 2, Ukrainian Air Force launched 13x air strikes on the concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, and 2x air strike on the anti-aircraft missile systems of the adversary. 

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1x command post, 3x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1x electronic warfare station, 1x ammunition depot, 8x artillery systems as well as 1x vital target of the russian invaders.
