Russian Ministry of Defense:  up to 1,350 Ukrainian casualties in the past day

📍 The Sever Group of Forces improved the tactical situation and inflicted losses on the formations of two mechanised brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and one territorial defence brigade close to Kondratovka, Khrapovshchina, Novaya Sech, Khoten, and Ryzhevka (Sumy region).

💥 In Kharkov direction, units of two motorised infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been hit close to Volchansky Khutora and Liman (Kharkov region).

▪️ The AFU losses amounted to up to 190 troops, 11 motor vehicles, an electronic warfare station, and two materiel depots.

💥 The Zapad Group’s units inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of two mechanised brigades, two assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and two national guard brigades near Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, Podoly, Glushkovka (Kharkov region), Drobyshevo, Krasny Liman and Ilyichevka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

🪖 In Kupyansk direction, units of the 6th Army repelled two attacks of the 92nd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Nechvolodovka and Blagodatovka in order to break into the city of Kupyansk (Kharkov region). Up to 15 militants and two pickup trucks were neutralised.

▪️ Up to 210 troops, one tank, one U.S.-made MaxxPro armoured fighting vehicle, 16 motor vehicles, and four field artillery guns of the enemy have been neutralised in the Zapad Group’s area of responsibility. Four AFU ammunition depots were destroyed. 

📍 The Yug Group’s elements took more advantageous lines and positions. Two mechanised brigades, one airmobile brigade of the AFU, and one marine brigade were hit near Zakotnoye, Bondarnoye, Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Reznikovka, Nikolayevka, and Berestok (Donetsk People’s Republic).

▪️The enemy has lost more than 190 troops, three armoured fighting vehicles, including one U.S.-made MaxxPro armoured vehicle, ten motor vehicles, and four artillery guns. An electronic warfare station and two material depots of the enemy were neutralised.

📍 The Tsentr Group’s units improved the situation along the front line. They inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of two mechanised brigades, one airmobile brigade, one assault brigade, two air assault detachments, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one marine brigade, one territorial defence brigade, three national guard brigades, and the Azov special operations brigade near Volnoye, Novokrivorozhye, Sergeyevka, Krasnoyarskoye, Kutuzovka, Shevchenko, Novy Donbass, Toretskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), Gavrilovka, and Novopavlovka (Dnepropetrovsk region).

▪️ The enemy losses amounted to up to 470 troops, one armoured personnel carrier, one armoured fighting vehicle, eight motor vehicles, two field artillery guns, and one U.S.-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-fire station.

▪️ The AFU losses amounted to over 220 troops, one tank, two armoured personnel carriers, one armoured fighting vehicle, and six motor vehicles.

💥 Units of the Dnepr Group of Forces inflicted losses on units of one mechanised brigade of the AFU and one territorial defence brigade near Belogorye, Orekhov (Zaporozhye region), Antonovka, Yantarnoye, and Sadovoye (Kherson region).

▪️Up to 55 Ukrainian troops, 15 motor vehicles, two artillery guns, one Israeli-made RADA radar station, and three electronic warfare radio stations were neutralised.

✈️ Operational-Tactical Aviation, attack drones, missile troops, and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have inflicted damage on energy facilities used for Ukrainian defence industry; ammunition depots, long-range unmanned aerial vehicles assembly workshops, temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed groups, nationalists, and foreign mercenaries in 154 areas.

▫️ Russian Aerospace Forces shot down one Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.

🎯 Air defence systems shot down a guided aerial bomb and 250 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

📊 In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the enemy has lost

▫️ 106,444 unmanned aerial vehicles, 

▫️ 641 anti-aircraft missile systems,

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
