Ukrainian General Staff: About 1,120 Russian troops killed or wounded in 24 hours; 20 tanks or APC’s destroyed or disabled

Glory to Ukraine! Seventy-hundred ninety-fourth era of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

During the past day, there were 94 combat clashes.

In total, the enemy hit 12 rockets and 76 aviation strikes, carried out

83 shelling from reactive systems of volcano fire on the positions of our troops and settlements.

On the night of April 27, 2024, Russian occupiers launched a combined strike on Ukraine with missiles of different types.

In total, the enemy used 34 missiles air, land and sea base:

As a result of anti-air combat destroyed 21 air target: 6 winged rockets В-101 / ра-555; 8 Kerovanih aviation missiles ».-59 / ла-69; one winged rocket ” Iskander-k ” and 6 winged rocket ” Caliber “.

During the past day, the settlements of Volfine of Sumy region and the city of Sumy have suffered; Dergachy, High Yaruga, Liptsi, Ogirtseve, Píštna, Glushkivka and Vodâane of Kharkiv region; Serebryans аke Forestry, Bilogorivka in Luhansk region; Terni, Paraskovievka, Chasiv Yar, Diliyivka, Eugene, Lozuvats їke, Berdychi, Alexandropil, Konstantinivka, Kalinove, Arkhangelsk, Ocheretyne, Memrik, Novobah Mutívka, Urožayne, Staromayors каke Donetsk region; Robotine Zaporizhia region; Tomaryne and Krinki of Kherson region.

In the Volyn and Polish directions, the operating environment remains without significant changes.

In the Siver and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions.

In the Kupiansky direction, our soldiers repelled 10 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kislivka, Brestove Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka Luhansk region.

In the Limans наkomu direction, the enemy 14 times attacked the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Druzhelyubivka Kharkiv region; Grekivka and Serebryans Доke forestry of the Luhansk region; Terny and southern Zarichny in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 10 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bilogorivka, Luhansk and Novy, Viymka, Spirne, Ivanivsk and Klishchievka Donetsk regions.

In the Avdiyiv direction, our defenders fought 29 attacks in the areas of the settlements Arkhangelsk, Keramik, Ocheretyne, Semenivka, Umanske, Kalinove.

In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnogorivka, Georgiyivka, Prechistivka and Urozhaine, where the enemy 17 times tried to break through the defenses of our troops.

In the Orykhiv direction, the invaders 3 times attacked the positions of our defenders in the areas of Staromayorsk Donetsk region and Robotiny in Zaporozhye.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not refuse the intention to knock out our units from placdarmív on the left bank of the Dnieper. Yes, in the past day, 4 unsuccessful attacks on our troops’ positions.

At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in live force and equipment to the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire line of battle.

During the past day, the Defense Forces aviation has struck 14 areas of enemy personnel concentration.

The units of the rocket troops have been impacted in 2 areas of focus of the personnel warehouse, 1 radio station, 1 ammunition warehouse, 3 anti-air defense vehicles, 1 REB station, 1 enemy material and technical warehouse.

In total, last day total losses of Russian zagarbnikív amounted to 1120 people. Also, the enemy lost 6 tanks, 14 combat armored vehicles, 38 artillery systems, 3 anti-aircraft vehicles, 24 Bpla OTR, 5 missiles, 35 vehicles and 6 special equipment units.

Forced displacement represents one of the most pressing humanitarian issues of our time. Individuals and families, torn from the fabric of their communities, find themselves navigating a world of uncertainty, often without basic necessities or a clear path to safety. There are currently some 110 million forced displaced, and this number is growing by 10 million each year!

At the heart of this crisis are the political triggers. Armed conflicts, ethnic or religious persecutions, and systemic human rights abuses force millions to flee their homes in terror. Many are displaced within their own national boundaries, while others seek asylum abroad. If these factors change as a result of political shifts at home or the pressures from abroad, they can return to their homes. Forced displacement is thus different from environmentally driven displacement, as victims of climate change may never be able to return to their homes.

The ramifications of any sort of displacement are profound, not just for those directly affected, but also for host communities and countries. Overburdened infrastructures, socio-economic strains, and cultural tensions can arise, necessitating comprehensive strategies to foster harmony and integration. Yet the root causes of forced displacement can be remedied with a concerted focus by local players and international diplomacy.

Organizations like Refugees International play a crucial role in this arena, advocating for the rights and needs of the displaced, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and influencing policymakers to take informed actions. Their relentless work underscores the gravity of the situation and the urgency ofinternational cooperation. But they, too, are overwhelmed by the rapid expansion of the crisis.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL), with its core principles centered on the protection of civilians during conflicts, plays a pivotal role in this discourse. Yet, despite clear legal frameworks, compliance remains
inconsistent. This initiative emphasizes the importance of upholding and reinforcing these international standards.

It’s not just about recognizing the problem; it’s about active engagement. We urge governments, organizations, and individuals to prioritize the rights and needs of the forced displaced. Through collective efforts, informed policies, and sustained advocacy, we can shift the narrative from passive acknowledgment to proactive intervention.
